Krebs cycle

Krebs cycle, or citric acid cycle, is a series of enzymatic reactions in aerobic organisms involving the oxidative metabolism of acetyl units and producing high-energy phosphate compounds (e.g., ATP) which serve as the main source of cellular energy.
